Juice Fast Day 2:
Well, it wasn't the horror show I thought it was going to be. The only effects I noticed was a general lethargy and overall grumpiness. Didn't like loud noises either. Started off the day with 4oz of wheatgrass and a cleansing cocktail (carrot, beet, parsley, apple), and drank green tea and water for most of the day. I think I only drank a total of 40 oz of juice today. Just didn't have the need to feel full.
It's 6:30 in the morning, and I feel pretty decent. Pretty clear headed and such. Which is pretty amazing since I didn't get any sleep last night. We're house sitting a friend's Yorkie for a month. To make a long story short, the dog was home sick and decided to bark about it every freaking half hour.
Oh yes, my good friend Faquet asked if I was giving up Absinthe. Yes, I am, but only for the duration of the fast. I have an absinthe convention in Seattle in the middle of April and well ... you get the idea.
Today the painter comes at 9:00 am to paint the garage, and then the flooring guy comes on tuesday or weds.
Got some good news yesterday ... we had thought the roof was going to cost us $5 - 6 grand to replace. Turns out, all we need is new flashing and facia boards. $1300. Whew!
Let's see how Day Three goes ....

I'm impressed - hopefully with day three you will start to feel energized.
Classical Music for People Who Hate Classical Music --- Oh the irony!
That is good news about the roof!!
Be careful with the juice overload... I remember a few years ago my now-ex over dosed on tomato juice. He got quite sick from it and the only thing that counteracted the effect was apple juice (it's the whole yin yang thing but that's another story).
