Okay, after 43 years of beating the system, I finally got tagged for jury duty. Not only that, but I'm juror #4 of all things. I can't say anything about the case until it's over, so keep checking back in over the next 10 days or so.
This REALLY plays havoc with my work, as I'm missing 3 days a week till the trial is done. So when court lets out at 4:30, I'm off to my other job until 7-8 o clock, plus I'll be working the weekends to make up for the time I was gone M-W. I'll be ready for a vacation real soon.
In other news, I got sworn in as a California Notary today. Need something Notarized? That'll be $10, please.
I'm going to bed, I'm beat. I gotta be in court at 9:30AM.

"Here comes da Judge. Here comes da Judge!"
I've always had to go to the juror room, stay there the entire day, then get dismissed until the next year.
I'm also impressed, Mr. Notary Public. Do you get a real cool Stamp now?
It's an epidemic. My girlfriend is scheduled for jury duty next week, and I got my warning in the mail that I'll be serving soon. My girlfriend's secretary is in jury duty right now. And, in the news last night, I saw that the DFW and Plano area police are going around arresting people who've been skipping jury duty summonses.
Hang 'em high, my Notary Public friend!
This is hard DG : very tense moments and hard for your work . I can only wish to you courage .
In friendhip
