I haven't been feeling really well for about the last year. You know tired, no energy, not sleeping well ... feeling like I'm on the verge of getting sick. You know that feeling where you just don't "feel" right? That's me. This has been going on for way too long ... and most of it is because I ws resisting any kind of change because, well ... I like being able to eat any and everything I wanted. But now, as I'm entering the 3rd month of my 44th year, I think it's time to give my body a break from the years of abuse I gave it.
So starting today, I'm going on a juice fast for 2 weeks, then follow up the last two weeks with a detox diet to clean out my system and give my body a break. I've talked to my doctor and other health professionals about what I'm doing and they think it'll work out great for me. Sort of a jump start on a new life. Frankly, I'm looking forward to it. I've talked to others who have done this, and they told me if you can make it past day three, you're in like flint.
I've already had breakfast ... fresh pressed carrot, apple, parsely, ginger and celery juice. With some more juice in my cooler bag. To be honest, I feel pretty damn good about this.
If you don't mind, I'm going to use Xanga as a bit of therapy during this, so please bear with me during this time.
I'm sure you'll be hearing from a grumpy, toxig DG tomorrow.

I am really curious to hear how this works for you - I've been thinking about doing that myself. Two weeks though? Wow.
GOOD FOR YOU!!! I'm considering doing something similar. It's amazing what kind of abuse we put on our bodies!!!
When I eat right (i.e. get all the essential vitamins and minerals), I feel GREAT. When I don't... well, I don't! It's as simple as that, sometimes.
Of course, yours might be more complicated, but it might have a LOT to do with nutrition. Poor nutrition is KNOWN to cause fatigue.
Sounds like a good plan. I, like PunkDiva, am curious to see how it goes for you. More than anything I would need to really commit. Have you looked into doing a body wrap? It's one of those things where they wrap you up like a mummy with damp cloths and all your toxins are supposedly soaked out of you.
Whatever the case, I wish you all the luck and success in your endeavor, "Toxic Avenger".
I once did it for 4 days. It was never that easy for me! lol
You are right DG to take care of yourself . But in this case what about the absinthe . Ended ! replaced by apple juice ? Why not . I encourage you .
