  • OH MY GOD!

You know, the first time I saw Rush was way back in college when Permenant Waves came out. Got to see them at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, what an incredible show! Now, it's been over 20 years later and the band still can kick ass!

They led off with Tom Sawyer right out of the gate and didn't let up for over 3 hours!!! The only down time was a 20 minute break after the first hour.

Neil Peart just turned 50 on the 12th of this month, but let me tell you, he played better last night than he did 20 years ago. That man can fly around a drum kit! Since the PW tour, I've seen them on the Presto tour, Hold your fire and Roll the bones. This tour for Vapor Trails has got to be the best one yet! Of course, Neil's drum solo was the hit of the show, and Alex did their strange rap thing about meat bees and vampires .... way too funny!

The only down side was spending $50 on a T-shirt. But then again, the tickets were free, so I shouldn't complain.

For tonight's entertainment, we have Alice Cooper. After seeing Rush, I shouldn't get my hopes up too high and just go for the sheer enjoyment of it. I'll let you know what happens.

  • I told you about the time Brad and I met the members of Rush, didn't I?  And we had no idea who they were.

  • You did .... pretty funny stuff. Reminds me of the time when I lived in Stockton and had the chance to see a couple of bands, but decided not to because I thought their names were really, really lame .... The Cars and The Police.
